Urban Paintmob was founded in 2005 after an experimental act to create a birthday painting party by our founders Ms. Christine Wang and Mr. Howard Tseng. At that historic and cheerful party, the guests just simply loved it! Christine and Howard then started to run painting parties in some chic venues that were kindly provided by our patrons. Suddenly they would turn an old abandoned factory into a live gallery, or transformed a shopping mall entrance into a slow-life performance stage. These activities were treasured by a lot of expats working here as an alternative lifestyle amid their busy metropolitan life. The movement was getting a momentum. Finally, Urban Paintmob was officially created.
We love the word “mob” because it can represent us correctly: We are a group of people coming from all walks of life, joining together due to a common belief and going to “raid” different places with colourful paint!
